Protecting the environment is the need of the hour! Therefore, to bring our ideas into action, a committee was formed to oversee all the practices. We manage all the waste which is segregated into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and hazardous, with a plan to reduce the current waste production in the next 3 years.

Emission

As a proud recipient of the IGBC Platinum Certification, sustainability is at the core of the manufacturing process. We conduct carbon footprint assessments and energy audits to analyze the existing power consumption pattern and come up with the best solution to reduce carbon emissions. Apart from that, a vehicle pooling system was introduced to commute within the premises of the plant along with flexible packaging made out of recycled materials for the finished product that will help optimize CO2 emissions during transportation."

Zero Non-Renewable
Energy

To streamline our work towards sustainability, we have shifted a part of our energy dependency from conventional power generation to solar/wind energy. We aim to increase our power dependency to 100% on renewable sources of energy by 2030.

Recycle &
Repurpose

We have tied up with third party waste recycling agents to collect and dispose of old floorings wherever Welspun does an installation. We have also been successful in converting polymer waste into paver blocks, and our practices use 100% recycled water with an aim for zero liquid discharge.
